What we do
Everything your small business needs online — nothing it doesn’t.
We design, build, and look after websites that actually earn their keep — fast, easy to update, and made to convert the customer who just searched for your shop.
01 · Design & Build
Custom websites
Hand-crafted WordPress sites with editorial typography, fast load, and a CMS your team can actually use. No bloated templates, no page-builder lock-in.
02 · Conversion
Bookings & orders
Online ordering for restaurants, booking flows for service trades, reservations for tours and rentals. Square, Toast, Calendly, and Stripe wired up cleanly.
03 · Local SEO
Found on Google
Schema, Google Business Profile, neighborhood and island-specific landing pages, and review flows that lift you in local search results.
04 · Brand
Brand identity
Logo, type system, color, and on-site photo direction so every page feels like the same business — without the agency invoice.
05 · Care plan
Hosting & care
Fast hosting, daily backups, security, software updates, uptime watch, and a same-week edit queue so your site keeps working while you run the business.
06 · Content
Copy & photography
Plain-spoken copy that sounds like you, plus on-site photography direction or a local shoot — so your homepage doesn’t look like a stock library.
Who we build for
Small businesses that make Hawaiʻi feel like Hawaiʻi.
We work with one industry at a time and stay there long enough to know the quirks — POS systems, seasonal calendars, the language your customers use.

Our way of working
Kuleana.
koo-leh-AH-nah · n.
Responsibility · stewardship · the duty you carry for the people and things in your care.
When a small business owner hands you the keys to their website, they’re handing you the front door of their shop. That isn’t a transaction — it’s a kuleana.
It’s why we take fewer clients than we could. Why we write our own copy instead of asking you to do it. Why we host on a Hawaiʻi-region server and answer the phone when something breaks. It’s the difference between a website you bought and a website that’s actually looked after.
Built with kuleana. Made for the long run.
How it works
A calm, considered build — in three steps.
No surprise invoices, no design-by-committee, no four-month timeline for a five-page website. Here’s exactly how we get yours live.
01
Talk story
A 30-minute call. You tell us about your business, your customer, and what’s not working about your site today. We come back with a written scope, fixed price, and timeline. No deposit, no pressure.
02
Design & build
We draft the homepage first — copy, layout, and visual direction — so you can react to the real thing instead of a moodboard. From sign-off to launch is typically 3–5 weeks for a five-page site.
03
Launch & look after
You go live, we move you onto a fast Hawaiʻi-region host, and our care plan kicks in: backups, security, edits, and a real human you can text when something’s off — usually same-week turnaround.
★★★★★ · Kind words
“They actually listened. The site they built doesn’t just look like our shop — it works the way our customers think. Online orders went up the first week and haven’t slowed since.”

Frequently asked
The honest answers, up front.
Have a question that isn’t here? Send a note. We answer in plain language, usually same business day.
How much does a small business website cost?
Most of our five-page sites land between $4,500 and $9,500 depending on copy, photography, and integrations like online ordering. You get a fixed quote after our first call — no hourly billing, no scope-creep surprises.
How long does a build take?
Three to five weeks for a standard five-page site, once you’ve signed off on the homepage draft. Rush options available if you have a launch date — just ask.
What do you actually do with WordPress that’s different?
No page builders, no 30 plugins, no rented templates. We build a small custom theme on top of WordPress’s native block editor — so it loads fast, stays secure through updates, and you can actually edit it yourself without breaking the design.
Do you work with non-Hawaiʻi businesses?
Yes — about a third of our care-plan clients are mainland remote. The studio is rooted in Hawaiʻi, but the work travels. We just won’t pretend to know your local market the way we know ours.
What about ongoing maintenance after launch?
Our care plan covers hosting, daily backups, security and core updates, an SSL, uptime monitoring, and a queue for small edits — typically same-week turnaround. Most clients stay on it; a few host themselves and we step in for projects only.
Who actually builds the site — is it you, or an offshore team?
It’s us — a small studio based on Oʻahu. The person you meet on the first call is the person designing, building, and answering your support emails after launch. Small batches, on purpose.
